BA Admissions at Indira Gandhi National Open University

The admission of the January session at IGNOU has opened for the popular three-year BA degree program. IGNOU BA Admission 2023 last date is 10 February 2023. An undergraduate degree in BA has core and elective subjects. Mode of Examination JEE (Main) - 2023 will be conducted in the this modes: 1) Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) is Computer Based Test (CBT) only. 2) Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on a drawing sheet of A4 size. 3) Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning-Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode only.
Eligibility : The candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) - 2023 examination.
Application fee for General male candidates is Rs-1000/-, while for females, it is Rs- 800/-.Online Submission of Application Form 15 December 2022 to 12 January 2023 (up to 09:00 P.M.) Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has invited applications for admission to the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), 2022-27.The Programme seeks to attract young students and mould them as outstanding leaders, through world-class education.
Eligibility: Applicant should have been born on or after August 1, 2002 (5 years’ relaxation to those from SC/ST/PwD category- born on or after August 1, 1997).
Applicant should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or should be appearing in 2022.
Those who have passed standard X/ SSC or equivalent course in 2019 or before should have a minimum of 60% marks in standard X/ SSC (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category). Those who have passed standard X/ SSC or equivalent in 2020 need only a pass in standard X/ SSC. For standard XII/ HSC or equivalent, the applicant should have passed the standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examination.
Those who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31, 2022, can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
Registration for the Test can be done latest by May 21, 2022. Application fee of Rs. 4,130/- (Rs. 2,065/- for SC/ST/PwD category candidates) can be paid online.
Selection will be on the basis of overall performance in the Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI). Based on the applications received, those satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted at centres across the country from 10 am to 12 noon on July 2, 2022 (Saturday). The test will have three sections - Quantitative Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question-SA) and Verbal Ability (Multiple Choice Question-MCQ) with each section, of 40 minutes duration. Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain the same for all the candidates. Each question carries 4 marks. There will be 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except for Quantitative Ability (SA) Section. The procedure for Computation of Aptitude Test Score (ATS) is given in the Guidelines.
Candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the three sections of the Aptitude Test will be called for a Personal Interview. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be decided by the Admissions Committee.
The final composite score will be computed by giving the weight of 65 for Aptitude Test Score (ATS) and 35 for the Personal Interview (PI). The Sanctioned intake for IPM 2022 batch (Domestic Applicant) is 150.

Eligibility: Applicant should hold a Post-graduate degree in Life/ Agricultural/ Environmental/ Veterinary/ Pharmaceutical/ Medical Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Chemistry/ Microbiology, etc.) with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade B in the UGC 10-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale where ever grade system is followed) or an equivalent from a foreign educational institution. National Board of Examinations (NBE) has commenced the registration process for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2022. Eligible candidates can apply for the examination on the official website till April 4, 2022.
Applicants will be able to edit their applications from April 8 to 12, 2022. The admit card will be released on May 27, 2022. FMGE 2022 will be conducted on June 4 and the result will be declared on June 30, 2022.
Eligibility : The candidate should possess a primary medical qualification, which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated.Candidates who fail to submit the documents as prescribed in the Information Bulletin for FMGE will not be allowed to appear in the examination and would be declared ineligible to appear, reads the notice.

ദേശീയ ടെസ്റ്റിംഗ് ഏജൻസി നടത്തുന്ന നാഷണൽ എലിജിബിലിറ്റി കം എൻട്രൻസ് ടെസ്റ്റ് (നീറ്റ്-യുജി-2023) വഴി യോഗ്യത നേടണമെന്ന വ്യവസ്ഥയുണ്ടാവും. കൂടാതെ അപേക്ഷ ക്ഷണിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് കേന്ദ്ര ആരോഗ്യ മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള https://www.mcc.nic.in/ എന്ന വെബ്സൈറ്റ്ൽ രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്യണം. രജിസ്ടർ ചെയ്ത വിദ്യാർഥികളിൽ നിന്ന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ആയിരത്തി എഴുനൂറോളം പേർക്ക് ToELR (ടെസ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ഇംഗ്ളീഷ് ലാംഗ്വേജ്, കോംപ്രിഹെൻഷൻ, ലോജിക് ആൻഡ് റീസണിങ്), മനശാസ്ത്ര അപഗ്രഥന പരിശോധന, ഇന്റർവ്യൂ, മെഡിക്കൽ പരിശോധന എന്നിവയുണ്ടാവും. നീറ്റ്-യുജി പരീക്ഷയിലെ സ്കോറിനൊപ്പം ToELR, ഇന്റർവ്യൂ എന്നിവയിലെ സ്കോർ കൂടി പരിഗണിച്ചാണ് അവസാന സെലക്ഷൻ നടത്തുക
പഠനം പൂർത്തിയായാൽ കംമീഷൻഡ് ഓഫിസറായി ജോലി ചെയ്യാമെന്ന ബോണ്ട് ഒപ്പു വെക്കണം. ലംഘിച്ചാൽ 63 ലക്ഷം രൂപ (2022 ലെ കണക്കനുസരിച്ച്) നൽകേണ്ടി വരും.

Project Infinity Christmas Camp 2022

Project Infinity Christmas camp for Batches D & E was successfully conducted between 26th and 28th December 2022 at CIGI Campus, Chevayur, Kozhikode with not only enriching the students with lots of knowledge, curiosity and information but also with practical exposure and joyfulness.
69 students from Batch E and 23 students from Batch D along with 7 mentors attended the camp. Various activity-based science sessions and students’ activities were conducted during the camp. The students also visited Regional Science Centre and Planetarium and the Malabar Botanical Garden. Project Infinity Director Dr. Samsheerali PT inaugurated the cam.p

CIGI C-iDea conducted a grand get together of C-iDea Students, parents and Mentors, namely “C-iDea Fest - 2023” on 01st of January 2023 at CIGI Campus, Chevayur, Calicut. Mr. Dileef (Cartoonist and Guinness World Record holder) inaugurated the fest, Dr. ZA Ashraf (Vice President, CIGI) presided over the function and Mr. PC Musthafa (CEO, iD Fresh Food) delivered the key note speech. Ms. Noor Jaleela (Social Media Influencer, Motivational Speaker and Singer), Mr. Nishad Rawther (Renowned Media Person), Dr. Shahana M P (Emergency Medical Specialist), Mr. Anver Muttanchery (Engineer) interacted with students over the day. Pichan, Senior Technologist and Cyber Security Expert, who was formerly Head of ICT Infrastructure and Cyber Security at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), led the session. Mr. MV Zakarya (Director, Department of Career Guidance, CIGI) gave the welcome address in the program, and Mrs. Ramla Beevi CK (Chief Career Counselor, CIGI) gave the vote of thanks. The discussion mainly focused on higher education opportunities in Europe and their pros and cons. Different universities and scholarships were also covered.

Project Infinity: Batch E Launching Program

Kozhikode: The inauguration of the new batch (Batch E) of CIGI's Project Infinity took place on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Dr. Ameer A. Pichan, Senior Technologist and Cyber Security Expert who was formerly Head of ICT Infrastructure and Cyber Security at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), launched the new batch. Dr. Ameer A Pichan in his inaugural speech narrated on how to become a Scientist.
Project Co-Director Mr. Aboobacker Thiyyackandi presided over the function. Mr. T. Salim (Executive Committee Invitee) interacted with the parents and students and motivated in his usual exemplary manner.
Mr. Sirajudheen Pannikkottur (Academic Team Member, Project infinity) explained the modus operandi of Project Infinity and encouraged parents and students to be proactive to succeed io in life.
CIGI Administrator Mr. Anas Bichu gave the welcome address in program, and Project Coordinator Mr. Abdul Hakeem gave the vote of thanks.
The new batch comprises of 75 students of Class VIth from various districts, who were selected through a very rigorous selection process which included examinations, science experiments and group discussions.

What is C DAT?
CIGI Differential Aptitude Test (C-DAT) is one of the most successful and sensational inventions by our Faculty of Research and Analysis. Came into being in 2008 after running standardisation tests in over 4000 students comprising both high school and higher secondary, it soon developed to become one of the best of its kind in the country.
Significance of C-DAT
Choosing a Career option that suits one's skills and interests is necessary for smooth sailing in professional life. Disinterest in a career can cause many problems that can even cause psychological distress like depression so it is indeed essential to ensure the profession corresponds with passion. This shows the significance of an Aptitude Test. C-DAT is designed in a way to effectively discover the inner traits and inclinations of the student using a series of tests. It helps in clarifying students' doubts on choosing a better career path according to their strength and potential.
How do we do that?
C-DAT is perfect for students who aren’t sure or confused about their future or present career choices. It facilitates the assessment of one's abilities in different fields such as verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, mechanical reasoning and space relations. This in terms creates your path to your career by generating ideas and more suitable options to choose from after analysing the skills and interests accordingly. It helps in shaping their decision making capacities as well.
Why C-DAT?
CIGI Differential Aptitude Test is a perfectly organised systematic series of tests where items of the test tool were analysed under the Item Response Model framework to establish item properties. The standardisation process was supported by Parisons Group, Calicut. Our experience over the years has proved that CDAT is the right tool to identify the basic inherent capacity of high school and higher secondary students.
In 2020, amidst the pandemic, we were able to successfully transform the CDAT process into a completely online model. The uniqueness of C-DAT Online is that it is not an automated test, our counsellors stay with the students throughout the test. The results are then elaborated to the students and parents through personal counselling. This whole process can be completed sitting in the comfort of your homes. Competency Movement
WHAT IS A CENTRE FOR COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT
Centre for Competency Development is an innovative project established as a part of celebrating CIGI's two decades of meaningful intervention in empowering the weaker segments of society. In 2016 CIGI took the initiative to set up 100 Centres for Competency Development (Mission 100C4C) at grassroots level in various parts of the state. The idea of Mission 100C4C is an end result of deliberations and constant dialogues among think tanks of CIGI on lack of competence in students and job seekers from all streams who are pursuing their higher studies or looking for a job.
The project was built on a belief that the accomplishment of this mission would provide a solution for this affecting condition and lead to a massive transformation in the current occupational and educational state of the community. By 2019, CIGI successfully completed this mission of implementing 100 centres and the project is still continuing through various activities for developing competence among the community.
A Centre for Competition instituted under C4C is basically an independent centre accredited to and monitored by CIGI and is envisioned to enhance the competency of students, nurture their talent, develop their skills, and direct them in their pursuit of better life and career.
As the pandemic swept through the globe, we decided to create a novel model of competency development through ‘C-Circle’s (Competency Circles’. The C-Cirlce’s are WhatsApp based online groups through which regular aspirants are prepared to face competitive examinations. This is done through regular updates of study materials and daily, week and monthly tests.
Started in 2020, our mission was, ‘1000 C-Circles’ , which was accomplished in a short span of time with people from across the state joining this initiative.
CENTRE FOR COMPETITIONS (C4C Centres)
WHO CAN ACCREDIT AS A CENTRE FOR COMPETITIONS?
Any local chapter of CIGI, Colleges, Schools, Orphanages, Panchayats, NGO’s or any similar institutes can apply to get accredited as a Centre for Competition under the project, Competency Movement. Interested institutes/organisations have to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CIGI to operate the centre. The project works with the objective to examine the academic personal and career excellence of young aspirants aiming at ensuring general competency development of those with qualification of 10th or above. Any institutions that meet the requirements mentioned below are eligible to accredit as a Centre for Competitions under the project:
- An office space (preferably with internet connection)
- Class Rooms/ Training Hall (preferably with Audio Visual Equipments
- Co-ordinator (Full time/Part Time)
- Committee to supervise the centre

Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling (DCGC)
Career counselling is a part of behavioural science. It is the process of helping the candidates to select a course of study that may help them to get into a solid profession. A career counsellor helps the candidates to get into the career that is best suited to their aptitude, personality, interest and skills. So it is the process of making an effective correlation between the internal psychology of a candidate with the external factors of employability and courses.
This discipline is intended to help our younger generation to cope up with ups and downs of life in such a way that they attain positive mental health, self sufficiency, productivity, efficiency, and also create their own position in the world of work. The course contains principles, concepts, and theories of social importance for career development. Social Action for Grassroots Empowerment (SAGE) is a concentrated effort of CIGI to develop an empirical model to integrate backward communities into the process of national development. Supported Active Foster Assistance (SAFA)
What is SAFA?
Supported Active Foster Assistance (SAFA), is a special project organised under CIGI with a mission to extend the service and support to the families managed by widows. CIGI identifies, undertakes and implements various activities for the upliftment of destitute- women, children, aged ones, chronically ill patients and other dependents of widow families. Our team is constantly working to identify the deprived sections that are striving to adjust with the advancing world and are effectively functioning to retain their status in the society. Taking up the welfare of the family as the responsibility of the SAFA Project, CIGI has joined hands with various departments and agencies to succeed in its duties towards the society.
What is the Significance of SAFA?
Unlike in the early days of Islam, orphan care is institutionalized today. Barring a few exceptions, the living environment in many orphanages is not conducive to the integrated growth of the inmates. Some are mere feeding centres. Therefore, many organizations and individuals have started giving them care at their own home which is closer to the spirit of orphan care in Islam and helpful for the overall development of children. Studies reveal that children who grow up with only one of their biological parents (nearly always the mother) are disadvantaged across a broad array of outcomes. They are twice as likely to drop out of high school, 2.5 times as likely to become teen mothers, and 1.4 times as likely to be idle – out of school and out of work – when compared to children who grow up with both parents. Children in one-parent families also have lower grade point averages, lower college aspirations, and poorer attendance records which makes it necessary to provide special care and urgent attention to them. CIGI is determined to provide support and empower those in need and Supported Active Foster Assistance (SAFA) is a step towards it.
Why SAFA?
SAFA envisions a better life for the widowed families by empowering them to provide best care and education to their children and thus helping them lead a decent and dignified life. The major mission is to make positive interventions in the widow family units in order to empower them to improve their total quality of life with special focus on the development, proper education, career and character of their children.
Objectives of the Project
- To make children self-confident and self dependent.
- To develop character, personality and cultured behaviour of children in particular and every member in the family unit in general.
- To provide the children access to quality education and encourage them to pursue higher education of their passion.
- To encourage the children and youth to attain best careers of their potentiality
- To develop psycho-social competencies and interpersonal skills of children and youth of the family unit.
- Support every member in the family unit to be self reliant in the financial, employment, ethical and other core areas of life.
- To enable mother and child to manage all problems – emotional, academic, social etc.
Beneficiary Groups
The state of having lost one's spouse to death is termed widowhood. Either man or woman, widowhood faces different types of problems in their life. But generally it affects the women more adversely owing to their lack of experience in managing a whole family on their own. Widowhood is a state that constitutes the greatest and saddest change in the life of a woman. All of a sudden, she is exposed to face the pain of bereavement as well as the need to realign herself to a new role, with numerous new responsibilities.
Most of the widows experience financial difficulties in meeting the basic needs of children such as providing good food, clothing and education. Financial strains to purchase items for daily life, maintain their previous standard of living, pay back loans and other liabilities, and meet personal and family expenses etc. The lack of adequate income may become the basis for added difficulties in adapting to widowhood. Her new role as the sole breadwinner of the family eventually results in lack of time to spend with the children. Most of the widows face problems of money, child-rearing and personal and social life and a lack of companionship etc. and these problems definitely affect the entire family members. SAFA is extending a helping hand to such families with a sole intention to empower them to face the challenges of life

Learning and Better Life Clinic (LBC)
What is it about?
No child should be denied the equality in education and the opportunities it provides, because of factors far beyond their control. Our constitution ensures equality in all areas to all law abiding citizens, education being the most important of all. There are students who face problems in learning and they are not equally accepted most of the time. They are mistreated in the classrooms and their problems are left unsolved. It is clear that just as there are ramps built at strategic locations for the benefit of the physically handicapped, invisible ramps of support should be provided for the learning disabled to overcome their invisible handicap.
Studies show that every classroom is likely to have two or three children with learning disabilities. Moreover, many of these special children are likely to have more than one learning disability (LD). The most common learning disabilities in classrooms are dyslexia (the inability to read or interpret lessons and symbols), autism (a neurological disorder in which the child has poor social skills) and attention-deficit hyperactive disorder. CIGI is here to provide support and help to the students in need. Our Learning Clinic established in 2015 is designed exclusively for children with learning disabilities.
Significance if the Project:
In India, the LD movement is nascent with schools and education boards having made concessions for LD students less than a decade back. Popular Indian schools, even those in well developed cities such as Mumbai, still lack adequate special teachers to handle such children in classrooms. Experts working in the field also complain that the idea of inclusion - including children with LD in classrooms with other children who don't have LD - isn't being implemented in its true spirit. LD children still lose out, especially when they enter the critical Grade IX. According to directives to promote all children to the next class till Grade VIII, most children with LD manage to reach higher classes. But many of them are asked to leave the school in Grade IX due to poor scholastic performance. Thus clinical support for children with LD has become a necessity. But the clinics proving LD care are very few to count. CIGI makes sure no student is left unnoticed or unguided as we are here with solutions to all such problems helping you to identify and solve the disabilities as well as provide with proper guidance.

Learning Skills Enhancement Program
The students who fail in public examination are reported with the onset of any unnoticed cognitive, behavioural or learning disorders. Either the disorders or the environment in which they were brought up lead to the failures. We believe that those students who fail in 10th exams are not the ones who are innately unable to pass the examination; rather it is a result of negligence in identifying their learning disorders at an early stage.
CIGI has set up a Learning Clinic and its main focal area is to help the children with difficulties in learning. We have a good resource pool containing clinical psychologists, Counsellors, Special educators, trainers etc. The project is a remedial learning process headed and executed by specialists in learning.
