Unemployment is a serious issue in India taking into account the countless number of youngsters graduating from numerous institutions. But all this talent will be wasted if unemployment persists as a growing challenge in the country.
The most effective way to tackle unemployment is to promote entrepreneurship. Our dream of a self-sufficient and self-sustainable India is rooted in our belief in Indian industry and trust in Indian brains. Along with entrepreneurship CIGI encourages developing employability skills among the youth, so as for them to attain meaningful employment. While we have a lot of Graduates and Post Graduates, a question that we should ask ourselves is whether they are all employable. Most of the educated youth in the country do not have adequate skills that are necessary to help them get picked up in interviews and excel in their workplaces.
