IGNITE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
IGNITE with the internship programme.
IGNITE is a six-month internship program initiated by the Government of Kerala, designed for young job seekers aged 20-25. This program aims to provide new graduates with valuable exposure to both the IT and non-IT industries, significantly enhancing their employability. Through IGNITE, the government seeks to identify suitable candidates for various industries, offering them financial incentives and short-term work experiences. This not only helps graduates gain practical experience but also alleviates the financial burden on companies by subsidizing stipends.
The IGNITE program was launched to provide skill training to companies operating in Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram, Infopark, and Cyberpark in Kozhikode. This six-month internship program offers interns a stipend of up to Rs 10,000 per month, addressing the shortage of skilled manpower in the IT and other industries.
The project is supported by the ICT Academy, Kerala Startup Mission, Group of Technology Companies (GTech), Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission, and CAFIT. Already, over 100,000 candidates and students have registered, and more than 570 companies have come forward to offer internships.
