Four institutions have joined forces to establish a unified entrance for paramedical admissions.
The admission process for bachelor of physiotherapy (BPT), bachelor of occupational therapy (BOT), and bachelor in prosthetics and orthotics (BPO) courses in four nationally important institutions is now open. Individuals who have successfully completed their Plus Two education can apply through the website niohkol.nic.in until June 12. Admission to these courses will be based on the Common Entrance Test (CET-2023).
The course offered by the National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD) in Kolkata, Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) in Cuttack, the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) in Chennai, and Pandit Deen Dayal in New Delhi consists of four years of study and a six-month internship component.
For admission to BPT and BOT courses, applicants are required to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the plus two level. However, for admission to the BPO course, candidates should have studied Mathematics instead of Biology. Reservation is available for OBCs (Other Backward Classes), Economically Backward Classes, and Scheduled Tribes.
The entrance exam, which will take place on July 9 and last for two hours, will consist of questions based on the plus two level in general ability, general knowledge, physics, chemistry, and biology/mathematics.
