Applications are invited for two-year MA program in Society and Culture in Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. This course emerges from a conviction that students need to be trained to understand the social and political context around them; that encounters with theoretical and cutting-edge formulations on societies and nations are necessary and must also be learned in tandem with real-life observation and fieldwork.

The two-year, 80-credits MA program in Society and Culture aims to provide analytical lens and theoretical perspectives in disciplines including History, Culture Studies, Literature, Translation Studies, Sociology, Political Science and Anthropology.

Eligibility : The criterion to apply is a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent CPI/GPA). The students who are awaiting final semester/year results and those who would be completing a Bachelor’s degree in the current year are also eligible to apply.

Selection : Admission to MA in Society and Culture is offered based on entrance test and interview.

Application opens from December 01, 2022 to January 25,2023. Written test(online) will be commenced on Feb 25, 2023.Interviews (offline) will be commenced on March 18-19, 2023.

Application Fees for SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 150 and all others: Rs. 300.You need not send the hard copy of the application form. However, you need to furnish a hard copy of the application form with a photograph and all the documentary evidence in original.

B.Sc. Poultry Production and Business Management at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University

The KVASU came into existence on 14th June, 2010, as per Ordinance number 44/2010 and later Act 3/2011 of the Government of Kerala. The University hence is the product of continuous and genuine pursuit and sustained dream of many people, who initiated the efforts since the mid-nineties. The establishment is also the result of the recognition of the need to advance animal production sector activities and to widen the arena of academic opportunities, applied research and entrepreneurship in the field of animal health, production and allied subjects. The University is a public funded University with headquarters at Pookode, Wayanad, and the powers of the University are vested in its authorities –the Management Council and the Board of Management. The university has called up for admission 2023-2024 in B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management).

Eligibility: For B.Sc. (Poultry Production and Business Management) 50 % marks in Plus two or VHSE of any stream.

Selection: The University will publish a rank list based on the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur and College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad. The selection for the BSc will be done from the corresponding rank list according to the rank, options and the reservation policies persist, through offline allotment process. The students have to attend the counselling process on the date notified by the University in the rank list.
