CIGI Launches Certificate Course in Career Guidance & Counseling for Teachers

Kozhikode: The Career Department, in collaboration with Our India Foundation, officially launched a Certificate Course in Career Guidance and Counseling. The course aims to equip teachers with essential skills to guide students effectively in their academic and career journeys.
The program was inaugurated by Our India Foundation General Secretary P. Saleem, who highlighted the growing importance of structured career guidance in educational institutions.
The event was presided over by Our India Foundation Principal Dr. Muzaffar Hasan, while CIGI Career Department Director Askar K welcomed the gathering.
CIGI Principal Career Counselor Zakaria M.V. introduced the course, outlining its objectives, modules, and the need for trained career mentors within the school ecosystem.
Also addressing the gathering were CIGI Chief Operating Officer Anas Bichu and Career Department Coordinator Yasin Ashraf, who emphasized the long-term impact of quality career guidance in shaping student futures.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Course Convener Sajad Moohiyuddeen, marking the beginning of a significant initiative that aims to bridge the gap between student aspirations and informed career decisions.
