Padma Shri Harekkala Hajabba Inaugurates CIGI Annual HR Summit

Kozhikode: Padmashri Harekala Hajabba, renowned for establishing a school in Mangalore with his earnings as an orange seller, visited the Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI) and inaugurated its annual HR Summit. The event highlighted his inspiring journey, which has earned him international acclaim.
At the summit, Hajabba shared how his lack of educational opportunities motivated him to establish a school. “The mental anguish of being uneducated gave birth to the idea of a school,” he said. He added that the school's current expansion, now offering education up to PUC (Plus One), has been made possible through government support and contributions from philanthropists.
Prominent figures including G.Tech Group Chairman Mr. Mehroof Manalodi, Mr. Marmar Italia Chairman Zakir Hussain, and RG Food Products Chairman Mr. Vishnu RG graced the event.
Other notable speakers included Dr. A.B. Moiteenkutty, Dr. Z.A. Ashraf, Kabir P., Hammad Abdurahman, T. Salim, Dr. Zubair Hudavi, Sirajuddin Parambath, and Noushad Velam. The summit served as a platform to celebrate leadership, resilience, and the transformative power of education.
