Lingua Franca Summer Residential English Camp

Kozhikode: Centre for Language Development conducted a seven days residential Summer English Camp for school students studying in classes 4th to 11th from May 21 to 31 at CIGI Campus, Calicut. The program was to equip students to be competent and effective with a good command of English. The participants were to undergo various activities such as TED Talk, debate, creative writing, everyday English in interpersonal communicative situations, pronunciation tips, ice-breakers, warmers and language games to encourage greater student involvement, book talk, vocabulary building exercises, advanced presentation skills, grammar clinic, toastmasterslike-talking club, effective public speaking(eps), group discussion and anchoring to enhancing the quality of oral communication and overall proficiency in English. Mr. Abdul Rahman Koduvally was the lead faculty and Mr. Shamseer was the co-faculty of the camp. Mr.Jafar Sadiq (Coordinator CLD) coordinated the camp. 40 students from across Kerala attended the camp.
