To reach the IISER
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) consists of several public research institutions in India. Established in 2006, it focuses on advancing science education and research.

There are seven IISERs in India:
* IISER Berhampur
* IISER Bhopal
* IISER Kolkata
* IISER Mohali
* IISER Pune
* IISER Thiruvananthapuram
* IISER Tirupati:
IISERs are renowned for their high-quality research and exceptional teaching. These institutions boast world-class facilities and outstanding faculty.
Primarily, IISERs offer five-year dual-degree programs (BS-MS) that provide a solid foundation in scientific research. Additionally, IISER Thiruvananthapuram offers a four-year undergraduate program (BS).

IISER programs cover a broad range of disciplines:
    Biological Sciences: Encompasses fields like genetics, biotechnology, and environmental science.
    Chemistry: Covers areas including organic, inorganic, physical chemistry, and materials science.

To gain admission to Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), there is primarily one pathway:

IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) Admission Process:

1.Eligibility:
   * Applicants must have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a focus on science subjects, including mandatory mathematics.
   * They should have passed their 10+2 examination either in the year of application or the preceding year.

2.IISER Aptitude Test (IAT):
   * Candidates are required to take this computer-based test.
   * The 2024 IAT exam took place on June 9.

3.Counselling:
   * Counselling is based on the IAT rank.
   *During counselling, students can choose their preferred IISER institutions according to their rank and preferences.

Other Admission Channels (up to 2023):
KVPY Channel: Students who have obtained the KVPY-SA 2021 Fellowship are eligible to apply.
JEE Channel: Students who have qualified JEE Advanced are eligible to apply.

Note: Starting in 2024, the KVPY and JEE channels will no longer be available for IISER admissions.
