NIMCET 2024 REGISTRATION STARTED

NIMCET 2024:Submit your application by April 20th.
The NITMCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2024, which is a standardized entrance examination for admission into the Master of Computer Application (MCA) program at various National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) in Bhopal, is now accepting applications.

Institutions:
The Master of Computer Application (MCA) program, offered at NITs in Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal, and Patna, along with IIIT Bhopal, provides extensive job prospects in the IT industry. Upon successful completion of two years at NITs Warangal and Jamshedpur, students have the opportunity to qualify for a postgraduate advanced diploma in computer applications.
Notably, the program at NIT Kurukshetra is self-financed.

Eligibility:
Applicants with a background in Mathematics/Statistics and a bachelor's degree of at least three years duration in any discipline, or a B.E/B.Tech degree, are eligible to apply. A minimum of 60 percent marks/6.5 CGPA is required in the qualifying examination, while SC/PWD category candidates need 55 percent/6.0 CGPA. Candidates currently pursuing their qualifying exams are also eligible to apply. Graduates from recognized open universities are welcomed to apply as well.

EXAMINATION:
The computer-based examination is scheduled for June 8th (Saturday), running from 2 pm to 4 pm. It consists of 120 multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics (50 questions), Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning (40), Computer Awareness (20), and General English (10). The total marks for the exam are 1000, with negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates who score zero or negative marks in Mathematics or overall will not be eligible for ranking.

APPLICATIONS:
Applications can be submitted online at www.nimcet.in until 5 pm on April 20th. Candidates belonging to backward/differently-abled categories need to pay Rs. 1250 for the application fee. They will have the opportunity to make edits to their application form from April 24th to 26th. Admit cards can be downloaded starting from May 28th. There are 31 examination centers, including Kozhikode. Candidates who qualify and are listed in the rank list must participate in the counseling process scheduled from June 29th to July 5th, where they will need to provide their preferences.
