NCHM JEE on May 11.

The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), under the Union Ministry of Tourism, is accepting applications for enrollment in the three-year BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration program. Admission is granted through the Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE 2024). Seats are available in 78 institutes administered by central government, public sector, state governments, and the private sector, totaling around 12,000. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the exam on May 11th.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi grants the degree. The curriculum equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary for supervisory roles in the hospitality sector. Additionally, there's a chance to pursue an honors degree with an extra year of study. Eligibility encompasses completion of the plus two level or equivalent in any stream. Candidates appearing for the exam this year are also eligible to apply.

Application:
To apply, candidates must submit their applications through exams.nta.ac.in/NCHM by 5 pm on March 31st. An opportunity to rectify any errors will be provided from April 2nd to 5th. The application fee is Rs 1000, except for SC/PWD/Third Gender categories, who pay Rs 450, and General EWS category, who pay Rs 700. Payment of the fee is accepted until 11.50 pm on March 31st. There is no age limit, but applicants can submit only one application. The question paper is available in English or Hindi, and applicants must select their preferred language in the application.

Examination:
The test is a computer-based examination lasting three hours, featuring 200 multiple-choice questions. These questions cover various areas: Numerical Ability & Analytical Aptitude (30 questions), Reasoning & Logical Deduction (30), General Knowledge & Current Affairs (30), English Language (60), and Aptitude for Service Sector (50). A mock test is accessible on www.nta.ac.in for preparation.
There are 109 examination centers available, including Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Mangalore, Bengaluru, Chennai, Madurai, and Thiruchirappalli. Applicants must indicate their preferred four centers in order of priority during the application process.
Following the release of results, institutions are allocated through special counseling sessions.
In Kerala, students have the opportunity to pursue their studies through this exam. They can enroll at the Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology Kovalam, which offers 298 seats, and the State Institute of Hospitality Management Kozhikode, a state government institution with 90 seats. Moreover, admission options are open in private institutions like Munnar Catering College and Oriental School of Hotel Management Wayanad, each offering 120 seats.
