IISc, IISER, and NISER are renowned hubs of excellence dedicated to advancing the field of science.
IISc:
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore is globally recognized as a leading institution for scientific research. It boasts outstanding learning facilities that are highly regarded. For individuals who have completed their Plus Two Science education, IISc offers exceptional programs for admission, including the four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) and Bachelor of Technology in Mathematics and Computing.

Bachelor of Science (Research):
The initial three semesters of the four-year (eight-semester) program at IISc involve foundational studies in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering, and humanities, providing a comprehensive understanding for all students. Following this, the subsequent one-and-a-half years focus on specialized subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, materials science, earth science, or environmental science, allowing for in-depth exploration and expertise in a chosen field.
In the fourth year, students engage in advanced elective courses and undertake a research project. For those interested, an additional year of study enables them to obtain a master's degree (MS). The annual tuition fee for the program is Rs 10,000.
Eligibility for admission requires candidates to have passed Plus Two (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) with a minimum of 60 percent marks. Scheduled Caste candidates must also meet the same requirements.

ADMISSION PATHWAYS:
However, students who have appeared in any of the following five examinations and meet the prescribed qualifications are eligible for admission this year:
1. Kishore Vigyan Protsahan Yojana (KVPY): Please note that the KVPY exam has been discontinued.
2. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Main
3. JEE Advanced
4. National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG)
5. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (ISER) Aptitude Test
Eligible students can submit their applications through various channels, including the official website: iisc.ac.in. Additionally, under the KVPY/INSPIRE/IISC Promotion Scheme (IIScP), exceptional academic achievers may have access to scholarships offered by Indian and multinational agencies as well as business houses.

Bachelor of Technology in Mathematics and Computing:
A recently introduced graduate-level engineering program. It encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including mathematics, computing, science, humanities, and engineering. The program offers a wide array of study tracks, such as Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Computational Science, Theoretical Computer Science, Quantum Computing, Signal Processing, Computational Biology, and even specialized tracks like mathematical finance. Students have the flexibility to choose their study track based on their individual interests and aspirations.

JEE
Admission to the program is determined by the candidate's advanced rank. Detailed information regarding this year's admissions will be soon accessible on the official website iisc.ac.in.

IISERs:
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) is a renowned institution under the Ministry of Education, offering exceptional opportunities for higher education and research in fundamental science subjects. It operates across seven campuses located in Thiruvananthapuram, Mohali, Kolkata, Pune, Bhopal, Tirupati, and Berhampur.
IISER provides a wide range of academic programs, including Bachelor's degrees, Integrated Bachelor's and Master's programs, as well as Postgraduate (PG) and PhD courses. These programs are open for applications from students who have completed their Plus Two (12th grade) education in science subjects.
For more information and application details, interested individuals can visit the official website at www.iiseradmission.in.

Programs:
IISERs offer B.S.-M.S. Dual Degree Programs in various disciplines, including Biological Sciences and Chemical Sciences. Additionally, there are five-year B.S. degree programs available in Earth and Climate Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Geological Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Integrated and Interdisciplinary Sciences (Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences).
These programs follow a structured curriculum where the first two years consist of foundation courses that are common for all students. The subsequent two years focus on specialization courses, while the final year primarily emphasizes research. In total, there are 1718 seats available across these programs.

B.S. Programs:
At IISER Bhopal, the available programs are exclusively four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) programs. These programs encompass fields such as Economic Sciences and Engineering Sciences, including Chemical Engineering, Data Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science. The admission process takes into account the marks obtained in the second year of the qualifying examination.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have studied at least three subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. However, for the four-year BS program, it is mandatory for students to have studied Mathematics during their Plus Two education. The total number of seats available in these programs is 90.

Admission criteria:
This year, IISER is implementing three admission channels for the selection process.
1. KVPY (Kishore Vigyan Protsahan Yojana):
Please note that the KVPY exam has been discontinued.
2. JEE Advanced:
Candidates can seek admission through their performance in the JEE Advanced examination.
3. IISER Aptitude Test (IAT):
For about 75 percent of the seats, admission will be conducted through the IISER Aptitude Test. This three-hour computer-based test will consist of 15 multiple-choice questions each in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects. Four marks will be deducted for a correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
For detailed information and application procedures, interested candidates can visit the official website at www.iiseradmission.in. It is important to note that applications need to be submitted separately for each channel of interest, along with the respective application fees.
Students admitted through the KVPY channel will be eligible to receive the KVPY fellowship. Additionally, a select number of students admitted through the JEE Advanced and IAT channels will have the opportunity to receive the INSPIRE scholarship, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

NISER:
The National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, offers a unique opportunity to pursue a five-year integrated MSc program in basic science subjects.

Admission to the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is required for candidates interested in pursuing programs in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. NEST serves as the entrance examination for admission to various institutes, including the Department of Atomic Energy Centre of Excellence in Basic Sciences (DME-CEBS) affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
Eligibility for NEST includes passing the Plus Two science stream with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for differently-abled individuals). Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled categories have a relaxation of five years in the upper age limit.
The NEST examination is a computer-based test with objective-type questions. It consists of four sections: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, with each section carrying 50 marks. Negative marking is applicable for some questions. The ranking is based on the three sections in which the highest marks are obtained.

Successful candidates admitted to institutions such as NISER and UM-DAE-CEBS will receive an annual scholarship of Rs 60,000 and a summer internship grant of Rs 20,000 as part of the DST INSPIRE-SHE/DAE Disha schemes.
For more information and updates, interested individuals can visit the official NEST website at www.nestexam.in.
