യു.പി.എസ്.സി. പോലെ ഒരു സംവിധാനം ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അപേക്ഷകരെ കൃത്യമായി കാര്യങ്ങൾ അറിയിക്കാനുള്ള സംവിധാനമില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ അയച്ച അപേക്ഷകൾ തള്ളിപ്പോയതുകൊണ്ട് നിരാശരായി വീണ്ടും അപേക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കരുത്. 193 രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകളാണ് അതിനുവേണ്ടി ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് ഓർക്കുക.

യങ്ങ് പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍സ് പ്രോഗ്രാം (YPP) വഴി വിവിധ യു എൻ ജോലികളിലേക്ക് എത്തിച്ചേരുവാനുള്ള റൂട്ടിനെ വിശദമായി അറിയാം. ഇത് വർഷം തോറുമുള്ള ഒരു തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് വഴിയാണ് നടത്തുക. ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിവില്‍ സർവ്വീസിനേക്കാളും വെല്ലുവിളികള്‍ നിറഞ്ഞതാണ് യു എൻ സർവ്വീസ്. സാധാരണ ഘടനയിലല്ല ഈ പരീക്ഷ നടക്കുക. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിഷയങ്ങള്‍, പഠന നിലവാരം എന്നിവ ഈ പരീക്ഷയില്‍ നില നിർത്തി വരുന്നുണ്ട്. മിക്ക വർഷങ്ങളിലും ഡിസംബറിലാണ് ഈ പരീക്ഷ നടക്കുക.

▪യോഗ്യതയെന്ത് ?

ഡിഗ്രിയാണ് അടിസ്ഥാന യോഗ്യത. എങ്കിലും ചോദ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും.
32 വയസ്സാണ് പ്രായ പരിധി. യങ്ങ് പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍സ് പ്രോഗ്രാം (YPP)- ല്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ഏതെങ്കിലും UN അംഗരാജ്യത്തിന്‍റെ പൗരത്വം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.

▪പരീക്ഷാ രീതി

മറ്റു സിവില്‍ സർവ്വീസ് പരീക്ഷകളില്‍ നിന്നും തികച്ചും വ്യത്യസ്തമാണ് YPP പരീക്ഷാ രീതി.
രണ്ട് പേപ്പറുകള്‍ നാലര മണിക്കൂർ കൊണ്ട് എഴുതി തീർക്കണം. ഒബ്ജക്ടീവ് ചോദ്യങ്ങള്‍, വിവരണാത്മക ചോദ്യങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിങ്ങനെ രണ്ട് ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ കാണും.
ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലോ ഫ്രഞ്ചിലോ മാത്രമേ ചോദ്യങ്ങളുണ്ടാവുകയുള്ളു.
ഇതില്‍ ഒന്നാമത്തെ പേപ്പർ ജനറല്‍ പേപ്പർ ആയിരിക്കും.

യു എന്‍ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടില്‍ നിന്ന് കൊണ്ട് അന്തർദേശീയ തലത്തിലുള്ള പൊതു അറിവ് പരിശോധിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ പേപ്പർ ചെയ്യുക. ഇത് കൂടാതെ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചെഴുതുക, ഒരു പാരഗ്രാഫ് വായിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം അതിനെ അധികരിച്ചുള്ള ചോദ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉത്തരമെഴുതുക എന്നിവയും ഉണ്ടാവും. യു എന്‍ ഘടന, ഇടപെടുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍, യു എൻ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ രൂപപ്പെടുന്ന ഉടമ്പടികള്‍, അടുത്ത കാലത്തായി യു എൻ ഇടപെട്ട വിഷയങ്ങള്‍, സെക്രട്ടറി ജനറല്‍ പുറത്തിറക്കുന്ന വാർഷിക റിപ്പോർട്ടുകള്‍ എന്നിവയും പരീക്ഷക്കായി, പഠിക്കണം.

രണ്ടാം ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ ഏത് വിഷയത്തിലേക്കാണോ അപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് ആ വിഷയത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയുള്ള പ്രത്യേക പേപ്പർ ഉണ്ടാകും.
ഇവ ഒരു സാധാരണ വിവരണാത്മക പരീക്ഷ പോലെയല്ല, കണക്കുകളും ഡേറ്റകളും നിരത്തിയാണ് ചോദ്യം വരിക. യഥാർത്ഥ സാഹചര്യങ്ങള്‍ കേസ് സ്റ്റഡികള്‍ എന്നിവയും കാണും.
ഈ പരീക്ഷക്ക് യു എന്നിന്‍റെ ഏത് ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭാഷകളിലും ഉത്തരം എഴുതാം.
ഇതില്‍ത്തന്നെ മറ്റൊരു രീതിയും അവലംബിക്കാറുണ്ട്. ചില ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ ജയിച്ചാല്‍ മാത്രമേ മറ്റു ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ എഴുതുവാനും മൂല്യനിർണ്ണയം നടത്തുവാനും അനുവദിക്കൂ.
ഇത് ഏതൊക്കെ ഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ ആണെന്ന് പരീക്ഷക്ക് തൊട്ട് മുന്‍പ് മാത്രമേ അറിയുവാനും സാധിക്കൂ.

ഇവ ജയിച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ നേരിട്ടുള്ള ഇന്‍റർവ്യുവിന് വിളിക്കും. താമസവും ഫ്ലൈറ്റ് ടിക്കറ്റടക്കമുള്ള ചിലവുകളും യു എൻ തന്നെ വഹിക്കും.
ചില ജോലികളില്‍ ഒരു ടെലിഫോണിക് ഇന്‍റർവ്യു കൂടിയുണ്ടാവും.

ഈ മേഖലകള്‍ എല്ലാ വർഷവും മാറി വരും. ഇവയില്‍ ഓരോ വിഷയത്തിലും അപേക്ഷിക്കേണ്ട സമയവും വ്യത്യസ്തമായിരിക്കും. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഒഴികെയുള്ള യു എന്നിന്‍റെ ഏതെങ്കിലും മറ്റ് ഔദ്യോഗിക ഭാഷകള്‍, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഫ്രഞ്ച് അറിയാവുന്നത് ഇന്‍റർവ്യുവില്‍ സഹായിക്കും.
ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സിവില്‍ സർവ്വീസില്‍ കിട്ടുന്നതിനേക്കാള്‍ നാല്, അഞ്ച് മടങ്ങായിരിക്കും ശമ്പളം.

യു എൻ മോഡലില്‍ ഏഷ്യന്‍ വികസന ബാങ്കും യങ്ങ് പ്രൊഫഷണല്‍സ് പ്രോഗ്രാം (YPP) നടത്തുന്നു എന്ന് മുകളിൽ പറഞ്ഞല്ലോ. ആദ്യത്തെ 2 വർഷത്തെ നിയമനത്തിന് ശേഷം പിന്നീടുള്ള നിയമനം പ്രകടനത്തെ (Job Perfomance) ആശ്രയിച്ചായിരിക്കും.

However, true progress can only be achieved when job opportunities are organically and equitably generated, enabling every educated youth to not only sustain themselves but also thrive in their chosen fields.
Every year, around 15 million students finish their studies and look for jobs in various fields. It's important to create opportunities for these young people without neglecting those already employed in public and private sectors. However, this is a tough challenge. One way to tackle it is by maintaining our country's economic growth. Unfortunately, our growth rate is declining, which is worrying. If this continues, unemployment could rise sharply, and our progress as a nation might stall. It's disappointing that our leaders don't seem to recognize the importance of investing in youth and creating opportunities for them. Instead, they often focus on trivial matters. It's concerning that some leaders use persuasive speech to mislead people. This needs to change for the better.
It's been said that to keep employment balanced, there should be about the same number of job openings as there are new graduates entering the workforce. But then, along came a tricky opponent named Corona, also known as COVID-19. Things took a turn for the worse. The world is struggling with the crisis it has caused, and unemployment has spiked again. Our systems are struggling to create new opportunities. In this tough situation, it feels like progress is out of reach for now. We share some thoughts with our friends who are studying, even though they might find them dull, because these are the topics that matter most in these times.

2. It's important to acknowledge that the current conditions are less favorable than previously assumed; we must be vigilant as every industry is facing significant challenges.

Your future is not determined by these exams alone. Nowadays, it's crucial to give higher education the same level of importance. Your success and job opportunities will depend on how well you excel in higher education.
4. Understand the importance of thoughtful planning when selecting courses for further studies. Ensure that you choose areas that align with your interests and preferences.
5. Parents often pressure their children into pursuing courses that promise easy earnings, are currently trending, or hold a high social status. However, this approach may backfire in the future.
6. Instead, parents and teachers should support students in selecting courses that align with their interests and talents. They should encourage exploration and nurture individual strengths, rather than imposing their own desires.
7. Enrolling in courses that don't match their interests can lead to significant mental stress. It's essential to prioritize happiness and fulfillment by choosing courses that resonate with personal taste and abilities.
