๐Ÿ”ฐWhat is Nativity Certificate?
A Nativity Certificate is a government document that indicates which country/state/district/territory a person is a resident of. This document, available from the village or taluk, certifies that one was born in T country or belongs to T country.

โ–ถWhat is Domicile Certificate?
Domicile certificate is the name that is heard adjacent to nativity certificate.
This is required when you are going to get a job in the armed forces and joining certain educational institutions.

โ–ถWhen will a nativity certificate be required?
A nativity certificate is needed for employment and education-related matters.

โ–ถWho all will get a nativity certificate in Kerala?
In Kerala, a nativity certificate is issued to individuals who were born and raised in the state or have parents who were born and raised in Kerala but currently reside in the state after being born in another Indian state.

๐ŸŸฐHow to apply for nativity certificate online? 
STEP 1:
Visit the web portal of eDistrict Kerala. [https://edistrict.kerala.gov.in/] on the page
Click on the Sign In button at the top.
Enter the Login name, password, and captcha and click on the Sign in button.
STEP 2:
Access the "Applicant Registration" submenu found in the main menu at the top of the page to initiate the one-time registration process for the person who needs the Nativity Certificate. Fill out the "New Registration" form completely and then submit it.
STEP 3:
In the main menu, navigate to the "Certificate Service" and select the "Nativity Certificate" submenu.
select the person who has completed the one-time registration process (OTRed) in the e-district registration system using their registration number.
In the Certificate Purpose section, select which of the states / outside state / defence purpose is required. To complete the Nativity Certificate, please provide the following details in the Applicant section: the state, district, taluk, and village where the applicant was born and raised. If the applicant was not born and raised in this location but their parents were, then please provide their details as well (although this is optional). Additionally, please include the applicant's name and relationship with anyone they may be completing the certificate for. Once all the necessary information has been entered, click the save and forward button to proceed.
STEP 4:
In the Attachment section, please input the Ration Card number and upload a copy of the applicant's birth certificate. If the applicant was not born and raised in this location but their parents were, then providing their certificates is optional but recommended. After providing all the necessary attachments, click on the next button to proceed.
STEP 5:
Once you have reviewed the payment details, proceed by clicking on the "Make Payment" button. You can use any of the available payment methods, including credit/debit cards, internet banking, UPI, or QR.
 Once your payment has been successfully processed, your application will be received and examined by the village officer, who will issue the certificate based on your eligibility.
