B.PLANNING - Suitable course for those who have planning skills

Individuals who possess strong skills in spatial, logical, and mechanical aptitudes are often drawn towards careers in civil engineering and architecture. Another exciting career path for such individuals is in the field of planning, which has become increasingly sought after in areas like rural development, transportation, inland waterways, and urban planning. These experts play a critical role in designing and rebuilding communities while taking into account the local climate and natural surroundings. Not only  this career is  path financially rewarding, but it also offers a fulfilling sense of social responsibility, as demonstrated by the rebuilding efforts in places like Bhuj in Gujarat and villages in Uttarakhand following devastating earthquakes.

🔲Courses
Bachelor of Planning (B Planning) is a graduate course in this field. 
Further education opportunities, such as a Master of Planning or PhD, are available for those pursuing a career in planning.
The B planning course is designed over eight semesters of four years.
•    Land Survey, 
•    Plan and Preparation,
•    Analysis Development and Management,
•    Teams for Survey,
•    Urban planning,
•    Rural Planning,
•    Regional Planning,
•    Housing, transport planning and infrastructure planning are some of the subjects to be studied.
▪    Master's degree in Environmental Planning, Regional Planning, Housing and Landscape Architecture can be pursued in the course.

📍Admission into a Bachelor's degree program in Planning requires successful completion of higher secondary education with mathematics as a subject. To be eligible, candidates must pass the JEE Main Paper II B (2B) examination and be listed on the rank list. NATA test is not required for this. Some institutions also conduct entrance exams on their own and offer admissions.

⌛⌛Where to study??
There are only a limited number of institutions that offer Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD programs in Planning. Among these, the School of Planning and Architecture (http://spa.ac.in) in Delhi is highly renowned, with additional centers in Bhopal and Vijayawada. Another notable institution is the CEPT (http://www.cept.ac.in/) University in Ahmedabad. These institutions are considered to be world-class centers for education in the field of planning.
