After Plus Two course most of the premier Institutes are conducting Competitive examinations for selecting suitable students for their courses. In competitive examinations, student’s abstract reasoning, mental ability, numerical skills, reasoning ability, logical thinking, speed, and accuracy etc are assessed.  If the students are well in these areas, he could able to crack the examinations easily. Continuous training and experience in attending this type of examination are very useful for attending the competitive examinations.  Generally, there are two criteria as eligibility for the admission of higher studies; a) Marks for the qualifying examinations and (b) rank in the concerned entrance exam.

 NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST – NEET UG-www.cbseneet.nic.in

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national level single entrance test conducted for admissions to approximately 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats across the country. Central Government has constituted a National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct online entrance test Twice in a year, thereby giving an adequate opportunity to the candidates to bring out their best.  Both the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical colleges and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to engineering colleges are currently conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

As per a Supreme Court directive, NEET has replaced AIPMT as well as state-level medical entrance tests and will now enable admissions to all Government, Private and Deemed medical colleges in India. Now there are only Three Medical Entrance Examinations in India (i.e. NEET, AIIMS Entrance Test, and JIPMER Entrance Examination)

NEET UG Eligibility

The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31 of the year of their admission to the first year MBBS and BDS. Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals are all eligible for appearing in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test. As per a Supreme Court verdict issued on March 31, 2017, and later upheld on July 13, 2017, there will be no upper age limit for candidates seeking admission in MBBS/BDS seats through NEET.

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail in NEET is now limited to 3 (three) uniformly for candidates of all categories. With regard to the General Category, the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in the qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination must be minimum 40%. Further, for persons with loco motor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH will be required

All India Institute of Medical Science -AIIMS is one of the best Autonomous Medical Institutes in India providing best courses in Medical Science with the lowest fees. (Annual fees Rs 4228/ ). JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION – JEE (Main and Advance)    www.jeemain.nic.in

Joint Entrance Examination is one of the important Entrance Examination in India, attending more than 15 lakhs students all over the country. It is the admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

JEE Main has Two Papers conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode and Online (Computer Based Examination) mode. The Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) of JEE (Main) will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based examination mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) only.

Candidates can apply both for Paper 1 and Paper 2 together. Generally an Online Application will be invited in December and Examination will be conducted in April every year .

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)- www.clat.ac.in

Common Law Admission Test is a National Entrance Test for the admission of Five Year LLB course and One Year LLM programme to 19 Law Universities in India. Admission to the Premier Law Universities like National Law school of India University (NLSIU) Banglore, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, NUALS Kochi etc. are based on CLAT score. CLAT Test is included 200 questions with 200 marks for two hours duration. Syllabus of this test includes English including comprehension, General Knowledge of current affairs, Numerical Ability, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. Eligibility 10+2 with 45% marks. The application will be called for during January to March every year and the examination will be conducted in May.   Those who completed L L B course become lawyers, solicitors, judges, legal advisor, legal officer, public notaries etc.

Besides this Aligarh Muslim University, Cochin University of Science and Technology, and all state Governments conducting a separate test for the LLB admission. The government of Kerala conducts entrance test for LLB Course through Commissioner of Entrance Examination (http://www.cee-kerala.org/) for 4 Government law colleges (320 seats) and 18 self-financing colleges (915 seats) in Kerala. Candidates should be acquired minimum 45% marks for the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

National Institute of Design Ahmadabad conducts an all India Entrance Examination for the admission of B.Des and M.Des courses.  B.Des course is at Ahamadabad Campus and M.Des courses at Ahamadabad,  Banglore and Gandhi Nagar campuses. B.Des in Product Design, Furniture Design, Ceramic and Glass Design, Graphic Design, Animation Design, Film and Video Design, Exhibition Design and Textile Design are the main courses.

Duration: 4 years.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY – NIFT Entrance Exam
