    • Our key resource persons were trained by Regional Institute of Education, Mysore in psychometric career assessment
    • Introduced Differential Aptitude Tests (DAT)
    • Training of DAT administrators and Counsellors at Calicut

    • Effective Study Habits (ESH) Campaign- Built a resource pool of ESH trainers
    • Conducted 500 ESH training sessions at public schools across Kerala
    • Vision Workshop at Peruvannamuzhi
    • Expansion of District coordination committees. DC’s came to existnace in Kasargod, Kannor, Kozhikkod, Malappuram, Trissure, Ernakulam, and Kollam
    • Expansion of grassroots units. Satelite units were formed in Trikkarippur, Kanchirod, Muttil, Koduvaally, Perambra, Karikkod, Kodungallore, Chavakkad, Pavaratty, Edavanakkad, Kanhirappally, Erattupettaetc

    • Started Resource development and networking activities
    • Shifted office from Kohinoor to Ramanattukara
    • State level Resource Person training. The first generation leaders of CIGI were evolved through this program
    • Became the authorized admission test centre for Aligrah Muslim Univesrity, JamiaHamdard, Cresent Civil Service Coaching centre
    • Career Mission Camapaing- started concerted effort to ruralize the career guidance services. Conducted 500 career guidance classes across the state with support of Peevees Public school, Nilambur
    • Zonal level grassroots expension
    • First district coordination committee came to existence in Wayanadu. They started to conduct career guidance classes at all panchayths of Wayanadu district. A competitive coaching centre also was established there
    • Career guidance workshops at 5 Taluks in Trivandrun
    • Expanded the institutional networks. Got an inroad to Government and aided colleges

    • Formal launching of CIGI by Dr. Syed Hamid and one day educational seminar. CIGI’s Vision and Agenda were declared in the MEETING

    • Formed national advisory council under the chairmanship of Dr. Sayed Hamid
    • Formed state advisory council with the representation of all Muslim organization in Kerala

    CIGI was born in a meeting of likeminded educationalists and social activists gathered in a meeting at Paramount Tower, Calicut. The meeting decided to register an organization as an NGO for educational and career upliftment
