Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal invites application for a residential 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Forest Management (PGDFM).

Eligibility: Applicants should be graduates with at least a three year bachelors degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PD) or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete it before June 30, 2011.

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of admission to the 2 year full time Postgraduate Degree in Management offered by the IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are given below. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria listed against the Management School/Department of each Institute can appear for the JMET examination. Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply.

INSTITUTION, PROGRAMMES, AND ELIGIBILITY:

1. IIT Bombay- Master of Management (M. Mgt.)- Candidates with a first class Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) or first class Master’s degree in Science (as given by the Institute/University) 60% marks in aggregate. 

2. IIT Delhi- MBA & MBA with focus on Telecommunication Systems Management- Candidates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ Agriculture Engineering or Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/Information Science, Agriculture, Commerce, Economics.

3. IIT Kanpur- MBA- Bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering with at least 60% of marks. AMIE or similar distance learning qualification is not eligible for this programme. Candidates with Architecture degree can apply provided they have taken Mathematics at 10+2 level. 

4. IIT Kharagpur- MBA & Master of Human Resource Management- 1. first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Technology or a first class Master’s degree in Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) or a first class Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level). 2. First class bachelor’s in any branch of engineering/Technology or First class in master’s degree in Science, Commerce, or Humanities and Social Sciences.

5. IIT Madras- MBA- B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent with first class OR a Master’s degree in any discipline.

6. IIT Roorkee – MBA- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering with first class or a Master’s degree with first class.

ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the JMET 2011 website of any of the IITs or IISc. Access the JMET 2011 website and click ONLINE application submission link to register as a user. If already registered, then sign-in at the website and complete the ONLINE application form. After filling up the ONLINE application form including the uploading of your photo, signature and category certificate (if applicatble), you may proceed to make the fee payment. The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. (iv) Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks are eligible for admission to FPRM. Fellowship: Every FPRM participant receives a fellowship of Rs. 14,000/- per month till they clear the Comprehensive Qualifying Examination and then Rs. 16,000/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs. 20,000/- per year for a period of 4 years.
