    Indian Air force: Ground Duty Officers (SSC)

    Applications are invited from male and female candidates for grant of Permanent/ Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty branches of the Indian Air Force. Training will commences July 2011 at Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.

    • 130th Ground Duty Officers’ Course (GDOC) for Men
    • 23rd Short Service Commission (SSC) Course for Men
    • 39th Short Service Commission (SSC) Course for Women

    ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

    1. Should be Indian citizen.

    2. Age limit: As on 01st July 2011

    For Graduates 20 to 23 years 02 Jul 1988 to 01 Jul 1991
    For Post Graduates / LLB (Five years integrated course) 20 to 25 years 02 Jul 1986 to 01 Jul 1991
    For LLB (3 years after Graduation) 20 to 26 years 02 Jul 1985 to 01 Jul 1991
    For M.Ed/ Ph.D/ CA/ ICWA 20 to 27 years 02 Jul 1984 to 01 Jul 1991

    3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

    a. For Administration & Logistics: Graduation or Post Graduation in Art, Science, Commerce, Management, Engineering or LLB.

    b. For Accounts: Graduation or PG in Commerce or ICWA or CA with B.Com/M.Com.

    c. For Meteorology: PG in Science, Geography or MCA (Physics and Maths should be at Graduate level)

    d. For Education: PG in English / Defence Studies / Psychology / Maths/ Physics / Statistics / Computer Science / Management OR M.Ed. after PG OR Ph.D. in the above said subjects.

    4. PHYSICAL STANDARD: Height: Minimum height for Men- 157.5 cms, Women- 152cms correlated weight.

    Other additional medical criteria would be evaluated by the air force medical authorities whose decision the fitness would be final.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE: Common entrance Test (CET) will be held at the below mentioned centre’s on November 28, 2010. CET will have objective and descriptive questions to test the knowledge in English and General Awareness.

Super scribe the envelope: Course Name (for which you are applying), CET Centre 1, 2 etc in terms of preference, and staple two self addressed stamped (Rs. 5/- and Rs.22/-) envelopes along with two copies of unattested recent photographs.
