Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is an all India Examination conducted by IIT Bombay, on Sunday, 16th January 2011 (Time: 14:00 to 17:00) on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
CEED is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (M.Des.) Programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur, and Ph.D. Programmes in Design in some of these Institutes, for the Academic Year 2011- 2012.

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master’s degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture may seek admission to relevant Doctoral programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GATE examination.

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of admission to the 2 year full time Postgraduate Degree in Management offered by the IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are given below. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria listed against the Management School/Department of each Institute can appear for the JMET examination. Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply.

3. IIT Kanpur- MBA- Bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering with at least 60% of marks. AMIE or similar distance learning qualification is not eligible for this programme. Candidates with Architecture degree can apply provided they have taken Mathematics at 10+2 level.

IIT Kharagpur- MBA & Master of Human Resource Management- 1. first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Technology or a first class Master’s degree in Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) or a first class Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level). 2. First class bachelor’s in any branch of engineering/Technology or First class in master’s degree in Science, Commerce, or Humanities and Social Sciences.

5. IIT Madras- MBA- B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent with first class OR a Master’s degree in any discipline.

6. IIT Roorkee – MBA- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering with first class or a Master’s degree with first class.

Indian Army invites Applications from FEMALE candidates for admission to 4 years BSc Nursing course at College of Nursing Armed Force Medical College (AFMC),Pune and 3 ½ years Training of Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery(GNM) course at various Armed Forces Hospitals. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years. On successful completion of Nursing Training, the candidates will be granted commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend.

Eligibility:

1. Female candidates who are unmarried / divorcee / legally separated or widow without encumbrances.

4. Selection: Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration covering General English, Biology and General Intelligence, likely to be held in Jan/Feb 2011. The parts of question paper pertaining to Biology and General Intelligence will be bilingual. Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview during Mar/April 2011. Final selection will be based on combined merit, subject to medical fitness.

Medical Examination: After the interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical Board (SMB). Candidates declared FIT / UNFIT will be informed by the President of the Medical Board including the procedure for requesting for APPEAL/REVIEW MEDICAL BOARD.

If the photograph is not properly pasted and is stapled/loosely affixed and gets detached while in transit/handling, the application of such candidate is liable to be rejected. (f) Four self-addressed envelopes (good quality) of size 27 x 12 cms with Postal stamps of Rs 6/- be fixed on each envelope. (g) An affidavit stating that you are issueless (incase of widows/divorcees) (h) Legal documents of the divorcee and an affidavit that the matter is not under consideration with the higher court. These documents should be neatly tagged. Similar and recent Photo on the application form as well as on the admit cards should be pasted and not stapled. DGMS-4B will not be held responsible for loss of any documents while handling at any stage.
