CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:
a) Educational Qualifications:o For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized university or equivalent.
o For Naval Academy: B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
o For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Candidates who are studying in final year degree course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree exam or equivalent exam by the specified dates.
b) Age, Sex and Marital Status:
o For Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible.
o For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 (2nd January, 1988 in case of NCC Naval wing ‘C’ certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible.
o For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible.
o For Officers’ Training Academy – (SSC Course for Men): Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1993 only are eligible.
o For Officers Training Academy – SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course: (a) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1993.
c) Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defense Services Examination (CDS), 2011 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and some other Government scholarships/assistantships in engineering colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify in GATE examination. GATE qualified candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture or Master’s degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications are eligible for admission to Master’s degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science with MHRD or other government scholarships/assistantships. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) 2011
Filed under: Managment;No CommentsJoint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of admission to the 2 year full time Postgraduate Degree in Management offered by the IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.
ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are given below. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria listed against the Management School/Department of each Institute can appear for the JMET examination. Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply.INSTITUTION, PROGRAMMES, AND ELIGIBILITY:
1. IIT Bombay- Master of Management (M. Mgt.)- Candidates with a first class Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) or first class Master’s degree in Science (as given by the Institute/University) 60% marks in aggregate.
2. IIT Kharagpur- MBA & Master of Human Resource Management- 1. first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /Technology or a first class Master’s degree in Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) or a first class Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level). 2. First class bachelor’s in any branch of engineering/Technology or First class in master’s degree in Science, Commerce, or Humanities and Social Sciences.
5. IIT Madras- MBA- B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent with first class OR a Master’s degree in any discipline.
6. IIT Roorkee – MBA- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of Engineering with first class or a Master’s degree with first class.

After filling up the ONLINE application form including the uploading of your photo, signature and category certificate (if applicatble), you may proceed to make the fee payment. Indian Army Bsc. Nursing GNM -2011
Filed under: Nursing;5 CommentsIndian Army invites Applications from FEMALE candidates for admission to 4 years BSc Nursing course at College of Nursing Armed Force Medical College (AFMC),Pune and 3 ½ years Training of Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery(GNM) course at various Armed Forces Hospitals. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS) for 5 years. On successful completion of Nursing Training, the candidates will be granted commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend.

Selection: Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration covering General English, Biology and General Intelligence, likely to be held in Jan/Feb 2011. The parts of question paper pertaining to Biology and General Intelligence will be bilingual. Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview during Mar/April 2011. Final selection will be based on combined merit, subject to medical fitness.
Medical Examination: After the interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical Board (SMB). Candidates declared FIT / UNFIT will be informed by the President of the Medical Board including the procedure for requesting for APPEAL/REVIEW MEDICAL BOARD.Apply: (a) Apply on plain paper A4 size as per the format given in http://indianarmy.nic.in (to be typed in Block letters).
The list of enclosures to be attached (PHOTO COPIES ONLY) with the application are as follows: – (a) Attested copy of Matric/equivalent certificate, showing DATE OF BIRTH. (b) Attested copy of complete Mark Sheet of Senior Secondary (10+2) / equiv. exam. In case, subject codes and maximum marks are given on rear side, copies of BOTH SIDES are essential. (Candidates appearing in qualifying examination (10+2) /equiv exam should enclose certificate to the same effect Erom the Principal of the school). (c) Attested copy of Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST candidates. (d) Gap Certificate, in case the time gap between 10th or 12th class is more than two years,Erom concerned School / College that candidate passed complete Sr secondary Exam in the First Attempt as a regular student. (e) Four copies of Admit Card on A4 size paper with passport size photo (without attestation), duly pasted in the space provided. If the photograph is not properly pasted and is stapled/loosely affixed and gets detached while in transit/handling, the application of such candidate is liable to be rejected. (f) Four self-addressed envelopes (good quality) of size 27 x 12 cms with Postal stamps of Rs 6/- be fixed on each envelope. (g) An affidavit stating that you are issueless (incase of widows/divorcees) (h) Legal documents of the divorcee and an affidavit that the matter is not under consideration with the higher court. These documents should be neatly tagged. Similar and recent Photo on the application form as well as on the admit cards should be pasted and not stapled.
